Sunny will never forget Basil's smile. Two years after moving away, Sunny has saved up enough money from his part time job to visit his childhood town during the summer. Having realized that Basil may be more than just his friend, he resolves to help Basil through their shared trauma and to unravel the feelings they have for each other. Sunny waits for Basil to wake up inside the hospital after all his friends have left, his heart full of unresolved feelings for the boy who held his hand during his darkest moment and promised him that everything is going to be okay. Then he receives a call from his mom. She's taking Basil to live with her at their new home in the city. Sunny isn't sure how to feel about his best friend coming to live with him, but maybe it's better than being alone again.

Sunny looked away, gaze distant and expression seemingly overcome with thought. Basil felt suddenly confused. Was-? No, stop reading into things. ''...I am.. very glad I know you, Sunny.'' Sunny's expression softened into a small smile at this, and he turned to look at Basil. The two locked eyes, staring with a sweet warmth that felt so special and perfect beyond explanation or any description. -------------------------------------- Sunny, after the events of the good ending, returns to Faraway rather unceremoniously to stay at Basil's for awhile and process himself. The flower boy, however, has a secret that even Sunny doesn't know. The two boys have a few beautiful and stressful moments realizing their feelings for each other and regarding themselves after everything that's happened between them.
