Hawkins is a small midwestern town located in Roane County in the state of Indiana with an estimated population of 10,000 to 15,000. This small town is about to be turned upside down with the disappearance of a boy and the emergence of a monster thought to only exist in stories. Is the monster responsible for the disappearance of the boy or will he be key to finding him?

Dustin's brother has always been quiet, never involved with anything that has happened over the years. He really likes art and was in an art club, also liking music, he is a drummer. He didn't really have friends, his only friend being Fred Benson. Fred was a journalist for The Weekly Streak at Hawkins high, Fred and M/n have been friends since they were little. Eventually M/n became friends with Nancy Wheeler and the others, which he got himself caught up in all this monster stuff.
