This story takes place 10 years into the future, following the lives of 25-year-old Charlie Spring and 26-year-old Nick Nelson. Nick and Charlie are the golden couple. Nobody is as stable, as loving and as close as them. They've been this way for 10 years now, and though they might seem sturdy, Charlie's worried that his mental health issues might be burdening Nick too much, and that he's being unfair to him. Nick's only goal in life is to make Charlie happy, but he begins to realise that maybe he needs to take some time to think about himself, too. With the help of their oldest friends - Tao Xu, Elle Argent, Aled Last, Tara Jones and Darcy Olsson - the pair start to work through their insecurities, but there's still doubt in their minds that this may not end happily for them both. Everybody else is confident in their abilities to overcome this rough patch and continue with their lives. Why wouldn't they? After all, they're Nick and Charlie... This is based on the graphic novel series 'Heartstopper' by British author Alice Oseman. Trigger Warning - this book contains mature themes like self-harm, eating disorders and also strong language.
