Su familia, los Aihara, eran linaje puro de oficiales, y ella era la líder de la unidad de élite "Escuadrón Cero", encargada de purgar el contrabando que amenazaba la estabilidad de la red de energía. Mei no veía simplemente "crímenes"; veía engranajes sueltos que necesitaban ser reparados o reemplazados. El reloj del Chronógrafo marcaba la hora exacta, y su misión era asegurar que nada alterara ese ritmo.
