This story is set in a parallel world where Kanzaki Aoi passed the final selection and kept fighting demons despite her trauma. Characters are from "Demon Slayer" and there will be a lot of spoilers! Inosuke/Aoi AKA InoAoi is the main pairing in this story but it does not revolve around them.

After being injured during a mission, Inosuke has to spend some time in the Butterfly State to recover. If his nature didn't already made that difficult, hearing people badmouth a certain blue eyed girl certainly did.

Aoi survived the Final Selection, but she thinks of herself as weak and incapable to defeat demons. In turn, she becomes a helper at the Butterfly Mansion and is always attending to the sick and injured. As he spends more time in the Butterfly Mansion, waiting for his best friends to wake up, Inosuke realizes that he gets drawn to Aoi. How is that possible? They fight all the time. "What are you looking at?" Aoi growls. "I use my eyes to look at whatever I want!" Later, seeing Kanao getting together with Tanjiro and Nezuko falling in love with Zenitsu; sometimes Inosuke wonders if a strong man like him doesn't need a woman. He is wrong.
