Shallow is sent to Nueva Ecija to live with her father after her mother moves back to the States, leaving her angry and conflicted. She transfers to Acturus University, where she meets Quarter, a cursed man whose loved ones die when they get too close. Together, they investigate the curse and discover it is not accidental but deliberately caused.
