Instead of the 100 being sent down, it's only 10 and they have just landed in the Commander's hunting grounds not knowing life beyond the Ark. Survival is primal and perhaps blood must have blood to live on the ground.

Clarke pulled the lever and she watched as the people slowly burned to death as the contaminated air filled the metal coffin which held them safe for over 100s of years. She watched the consequence of her action, watched as men, women and children alike collapse to the floor. She watched as her own people stumble out of the mountain, mostly unscathed and she couldn't help but think. Was it worth it? She sacrificed thousands of people for the life of 47. As they marched back to Camp Jaha, her mind brought her back to Mount Weather every time she saw a face that had escaped the mountain. She did the only thing she could then. She ran. For weeks, Clarke is alone in the woods. For weeks, she was haunted by the mountain. Until she was snatched up by a group of grounders wearing Grey cloaks. She knew then, she was going to die

This takes place in the day of 307 but with a slight twist that I had hoped for which never happened. -------------------------- Clarke gets shot that eventful evening, but instead of dying she survives and is shielded from the world by her mother. Abby is only trying to protect her daughter, but lie after lie stack up and Clarke's trust in her falters. Lexa on the other side, is grief stricken believing Clarke has died, but instead of breaking down as she had with Costia, she builds up a wall to protect herself fueled by the past commanders in her conscience and her heart not wanting to be broken again. Grief can cause different emotions and they both have chosen opposite sides. This fanfic shows how one small event can change one's relationships and even their own personality.

After Abby realizes that Jaha may use his executive powers to float Clarke before her 18th birthday, she and Raven scrape together a pod and send Clarke down to earth a bit before the 100 is sent down.
