Shelby Goodkind never thought she'd have a girlfriend. And she definitely didn't think she'd meet her on an island, stranded and starving along with 6 more girls. She never thought she'd get off that island. But she did. Toni Shalifoe was set to be deployed 2 months after her and her girlfriend, Shelby, moved in to their new place in Hopewell, Minnesota. A nice 2 story house. Their first house after their apartment together. Toni doesn't know when her tour will be over. But she does know, that the 4th of July is around the corner and she has a big idea.

All the girls live in the same town. They might know each other, they might not. Eventually they will. No plane crash. No island. No Dawn of Eve. Just a town and a high school. A "normal" teenager life. However, don't expect it to be boring. Because as Leah said: "Being a teenage girl in normal ass America, that was the real living hell."

Shelby is known for winning titles. She loves her family and tries her best to live the life god would approve. Many would consider her life as perfect. On the other hand it's this girl named Toni. Her mom is in and out of rehab and her dad is too ashamed of her. She's closed off and let's very few in. She's a downer and has learned to lose. Basketball being her only escape from what we call life. What will happen when polar opposites worlds collide?

AU; This fan fiction continues on from the events of season 1 of the hit tv show, "The Wilds." But, does not contain any flashbacks from the bunker. Rachel was just taken away from the rest of the girls by a shark. Nora jumps in to save her. Will she save both Rachel and herself? Leah had just found out the mole of this whole project was Nora. But will she tell the other girls, or will she be distracted by the disastrous events that had just occurred with Rachel? Toni and Shelby had just started a relationship, sealing it with a kiss. Shelby is not looking forward to getting off the Island, and going back to her strictly religious family, but is at peace with Toni on the island. Will their relationship strive, or will a certain opponent ruin it, before it even begins? Will Shelby's religious views of homosexuality play a part in their relationship? Dot, Fatin and Martha all have their own problems. Their biggest desire is to survive, and hopefully get off the Island. Martha is the quiet one. Fatin is the straightforward one. Dot is the blunt one, who smokes a lot, and has a survival instinct. Will the girls survive, and make their way off the Island with their limbs attached? Read the fanfic to find out....
