He's smirking down at me as he says, "Um, you're in my seat." I laugh and say, "You realize that is the most cliche thing you could possibly say?" He looks confused so I elaborate. "It's the first day of school and you're coming up the new girl, claiming I'm in your seat. Sorry, but it's not very original." He huffs and rolls his eyes. "Get out of my seat, sunshine." "Watch it happen, pretty boy." I reply, smirking as I stuff my other earbud back in. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Madeline Lace is the youngest of six, the older five being all brothers. Her brothers love her, but due to their pathetic excuse for a father, their overprotective nature spirals into straight up helicopter parenting. Getting a fresh start by moving away from the bad memories, they're bound to run into a few new problems. One of which being their cocky, self-assured next door neighbor who isn't too discreet about taking an obvious liking towards Maddie. Her hope that he'd give up and leave her alone diminishes when his dorky personality starts to shine through, growing on her. The easy option would be to ignore the obvious attraction, but then again, it's hard to deny the undeniable. -------------------------- thank you to @meha-k for this amazing cover!

Alexis was heartbroken when August, her best friend of ten years, humiliated her in front of the whole school. August leaves school the same year and comes back two years later. What will his reaction be? When he sees his best friend, whom he humiliated, unrecognizable? He attacked first. Now it's time for her counterattack. "Hello, beautiful," He greets me. I stand there, completely shocked. "I know I look handsome, but you don't have to be this shocked," He smirks. He doesn't recognize me. Yeah, the 15-year-old me would not recognize the current me, either. I open my mouth to answer him but end up laughing. "You don't recognize me, do you?" I question and start laughing again. I laugh to the point where my stomach starts hurting. The whole hallway is silent. This situation is hilarious. "Good," I nod to myself with a smirk on my face. A look of recognition passes his face. "Dove," He breathes. I shake my head. "Dove? I don't know her. My name is Alexis," I snap and turn around to head to class. #2 in Teen Love #4 in humour #15 in friendship #10 in best friends #36 in teen fiction #42 in teen My most impressive ranking so far The cover does not belong to me. {FIRST BOOK IN 'THE GIRL IN THE HOODIE' SERIES} {2014-2018} A girl moved to California two years ago. No one knows what she looks like. All they know is that she wears a hoodie. *~*~*~* "HOLY SHIT, NOAH! WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU LET THE TROLLEY GO?! COME BACK! OH MY FUCKING LIFE, FIZZY DRINKS UP AHEAD--" BANG FIZZ POP "...am I dead?" I'm suddenly grabbed by the back of my hoodie and pulled up from the ground and out of the mess of the opened bottles of fizzy which had exploded when the trolley and I crashed into them. My hands instantly go to my hood and I sigh in relief to find that it hadn't fallen off through all of that. I turn my head and look the the employee who's holding me, his face completely red and the vein in his neck throbbing. "Wassup, dude?" I smile sheepishly. *~* {HIGHEST RANKINGS: #1 in Funny #1 in Sad And #1 in Cancer apparently }
