The show starts with 100 boys. Idol Producer Season 2 will start on January 18, 2019. Idol Producer Season 2 is the second season in the Idol Producer series. The first series debuted a boy group called NINE PERCENT, consisting of the top 9 trainees (out of a 100): Cai Xukun, Chen Linong, Wang Ziyi, You Zhangjing, Fan Chengcheng, Justin, Zhu Zhengting, Lin Yanjun and Xiao Gui. NINE PERCENT is set to debut officially on November 20, 2018. Their fandom name is "NINES" and their colors are blue sea and blue sky. Idol Producer will be hosted by EXO member Zhang Yixing, dance mentors Jolin Tsai and SEVENTEEN's Xu Minghao (The8), as well as rap mentors MC Jin and After Journey and music mentor Li Ronghao.
