Natsu Dragneel was raised by dragon king acnologia, everyone on earth land is terrified of acknologia that's why when people found out that Natsu was acnologius son they started distancing themselves from him out of fear of acknologia and Natsu being mean rude and scary didn't help that. Acnologia disappeared on July 7th the year 777 x. after that Natsu started to search everywhere for acknologia and that's when he meets fairy tale's master makarov. Makarov was kind to Natsu unlike the people Natsu met so when makarov give him the opportunity to join fairy tail he took it and became fairytale member. even though Natsu was scary 90% of the time and scared everyone, fairytale members still tried their best to get to know him.
