Katniss is a teacher at a high school. Together with Peeta Mellark, Annie Cresta and Finnick Odair, the four youngest teachers are put to test by the students and the older teachers. While Katniss is trying to struggle with her own demons she wants nothing more than to help her students the most she can and have a life with the one and only she loves. There's bumps in the road for the four friends, they're not only teachers, they're humans, and they're young. But does that mean they're not good teachers?

So...when high school sucked and your were always named the weirdo, freak, a nobody collage seems like a fresh start right? New friends, new teachers, new subjects, everything new. But it wasn't that way with me. Sure, everything was new at first but like in high school nobody paid much mind to me. After about a month I was moved into my dorm with two girls, Annie and Clove. They're okay but again...I think they don't wanna be friends with me. I've been here for three years now, this is my final and I still have no friends. I've been to no parties, had no friends in my dorm. Good news is I mostly get A's everywhere. Thats kinda the reason I have no friends. Nobody wants to be friends with a nerd right? Love. The purest concept known to man. A concept not easily understood. A concept that deeply wounds a person who loves unconditionally. He left. Disappeared and did not tell a soul. Did not leave something as simple as a note to ease my broken heart. I have never felt that kind of embarrassment. Time began to fold in on itself and the memories of him haunt me. I despise him for leaving me. I love him. I hate him. I hate myself for it.

What is Katniss to do as another year of school has finally rolled around? How is she supposed to react when the people she hates most, The Careers as they call themselves, have been cracking down hard on her group, The Victors. So when Katniss is only 20 minutes into her drive and her car get struck by a dodge pick up truck, what does she do? Does she go back to the college and pray that her mother has the money to fly her home, or does she get in the car with the bakers son from the cafe at the college who she barely knows? Obviously having to make stops and stay in hotels, it will longer than the estimated 2 day drives. But when you spend multiple hours in a car with someone you can't help but get to know them. Will this become a road trip she always remembers? Or one she desperately wants to forget?
