Because of this, they were isolated and - under the command of Emperor Belos - they were killed off one by one until only one remained. However, he wouldn't be seen in the Boiling Isles for over a decade until he eventually returns to the place of his origin. Hollow Knight - an Orphan who was adopted by the Noceda Family - was always a strange kid. Not "Luz" strange, but strange all the same. He wasn't into fantasy, though he was very interested in the art of combat, and therefore learned how to do it. He even learned how to fight with a sword - much to the concern of his mother. After being told he and his sister were being sent off to Summer Camp because of a "Book Report" - though Hollow used that term loosely - that went wrong. Fortunately or unfortunately, that never came to be after a strange owl lead them through a portal and into another world.

The Kivotos is ravaged, the student council stripped of its power and unable to intervene, gangs and delinquents rule the streets unable to be stopped. Students left without any kind of guidance or direction, truly it is hopeless. But soon everything will change, a hunter, somebody who knows only bloodshed and carnage will be tasked with leading those who lack direction, guiding them towards a better tomorrow and freeing them from this horrible nightmare.

It went on so long... So agonizingly long. They tried to hide... to run... anything to stay alive... I remember their cries: "What's going on?" "Why is this happening?" "What are those things?" Senseless slaughter, that's all it really was. They killed everyone. Drones, humans. guilty, innocent, it didn't matter. All that death... it didn't fix anything. And then, once it was all over, they dragged those corpses down below where they'd never be found. Entire planets... Multiple. All extinguished of their population. All the drones and all the humans, even plant and animal life was purged. None were safe. And after the slaughter, they... ate them... to stay alive. To fulfill the twisted vision of their "creator".
