Waking up in a field of flowers after getting hit and killed by a train was the last thing Himari expected. Though she soon finds out that she was summoned to a completely different world by a spell, and that there were four others like her, each of them wielding what the beings in this world call the Cardinal Weapons. And just like any other Legend out there, some pages to were missing. The world knew of The Spear Hero, The Sword Hero, the Bow Hero, and the Shield Hero. Having being transported here after a car crash, she blended in and decided that she'd make the most of her life living in this world. Returning was always in the back of her head, but she gave up after finding people that she loved around the land. Naofumi Iwatani is, or was, an ordinary otaku who lived his life casually. Reading light novels at the library and such. However, he was sent to a world where he was the Shield hero; the least respected of the 4 cardinal heroes. After being betrayed by who he thought was going to be a potential party member, his optimistic and carefree personality took a turn. Both with potential and their relation to the world that they were in before being transported, what will happen? Sparks of hate, friendship, or maybe even love? Read to find out. A lesser known fact, however, is that these four heroes aren't the only people that can arrive from another world. There is one "summon" that really isn't summoned by anyone. The Oracle is different in the case of they only ever show up when the cardinal heroes are summoned and active, and is even said to be a myth among commonfolk with how rarely they show up even then. so I've been into rising of the shield hero for a while now... a lot of things about it ALWAYS bugged me starting with the fact that the world functions like a game and the heroes are supposed to fight together in a party.... BUT WHERE'S THE ARCHMAGE?! THE BLATANT DISRESPECT TO THE MAGE CLASS IS REAL AND ANGERING! so I decided as a gamer who rather enjoys being a mage and healer, I'd rectify that. and other things. for all intents and purposes this is a self insert but I will be using my proxy OC that I use in my nutty fangirl daydreams. DON'T WORRY! I'M NERFING MY PROXY! this will follow the plot of the anime because..... I want to. and I'm..... LAZY~! and using the manga is too much trouble and the light novel is 800+ chapters long. So FUCK THAT! anyways if you read this and think it's lackluster then I want to see you try your hand at writing tate no yuusha fics! no that's not a challenge or insult it's just a desperate plea for more tate fics... we need some more variety! She never would've thought she would suddenly be in an entirely different world where she's supposed to save the people of that world from these things called "Waves" along with four other complete strangers. She also never would've thought that she'd be the Ancient Hero known as the all powerful Lance Hero, only downside to it other than a new funky look is that... she has a complete psychopath in her head along with a gentleman that just never seem to shut up.
