Cover by the amazing @LNRoberts1 It's 1983 and high school sophomore, Anne Kelly's home life is coming apart at the seams. What's more, her friends are hanging with the popular crowd, and Anne doesn't feel she fits in. She gradually becomes fixated with a shy junior on the swim team named Gavin Maloney, but her friends think he's a total loser. However, Anne only becomes more interested in Gavin, and she decides to take a prank her friends played on him a step further. She begins writing him letters, not the stupid anonymous notes her friends put in his locker to taunt him, but real letters. Gavin has lost his mom to cancer and his father has gone missing. He now lives with his grandfather who is in a deteriorating state of Alzheimer's disease. It's a secret that Gavin must keep. Nobody can know or they will separate Gavin from his grandfather and put them both in state run homes. Gavin's plan is to stay invisible. Once he turns 18, he'll be a legal adult and nobody will be able to separate him from his grandfather. He just has to hold out one more year. But it isn't easy. Everyone needs friends, and now this Anne girl has singled him out. Part of him aches for human contact, and he's not immune to her quirky sense of humor, but she might be totally insane. She's practically stalking him, and if he befriends her, she might find out about his grandfather and ruin his plan. But what if he just wrote her back?

Kulthum is going through something. It could be a hormonal shift, another round of her "rebellious teen phase" even though she's now twenty-two, or an identity crisis. Whatever it is, Kulthum has changed. She can feel it, and everyone can see it, but no one can cite a reason for it-including her. When Kulthum comes home from her third unattained university degree, lugging more than suitcases, her parents have had enough. They decide to do what every African parent living in the United Kingdom has once threatened to do. They ship her back home to Nigeria. With a one-way first-class ticket, Kulthum finds herself stranded in the busy city of Lagos, stuck with a family she knows nothing about and surrounded by her culture, which feels completely foreign to her. Her parents hope her year abroad will cause her to have a change of heart...but Kulthum meets a man who might steal it. - - - - First Published September 28th 2024. She woke to a world washed in silver. The clouds hung low, heavy with secrets. And when the rain began, soft, deliberate. She welcomed it like an old friend. But this morning wasn't like the others. Between the drops, she saw them. Tiny beings, born of shimmer and storm. Fairies. Real ones. They moved like the rain itself knew how to keep them hidden. And in that quiet wonder, something ancient stirred. Everyone else rushed past, umbrellas raised, eyes down. No one noticed. Except her. One fairy remained. Still, glowing, watching her like it had been waiting. When she whispered, "Hello," the world began to shift. But the rain wasn't the only thing falling that day. A parcel was coming. A diary that writes back. A demon who already knows her name. And a truth her father buried long ago. The past isn't sleeping. It's waking up.

Anna Marsden met Todd D'Angelo on a live reality show, where they took third and fourth place as the whole of America cheered them on. As a self-proclaimed "dating guru", Anna has publicly declared that Todd is "the one" on every single one of her social media platforms. So when Todd dumps her on a TikTok live just days before they're about to start a race around the world for a million dollars (each), she's left utterly devasted. But when she starts losing her followers because of online rumors, she makes it her mission to move on as fast as she can and show the world she's not the person her ex says she is. Ian Scott was always a quiet child. But after suffering a terrible tragedy when he was a kid, he closed himself off entirely to anyone who was not within his very close inner circle. He's always felt guilty about the things his older brother sacrificed for him, and his guilt has kept him from really enjoying his life. When his brother convinces him to go on a race around the world together, Ian agrees, hoping it'll be the perfect opportunity to give everything back to the man who gave everything to him. But when unforeseen circumstances force his brother to drop out of the race before it even begins, Ian is left puzzled and horrified to find that the network has teamed him up with America's favorite laughingstock: the unbearable influencer Anna Marsden. Anna and Ian have nothing in common, but can they put aside their differences long enough to win a race for two million dollars? In this romantic sequel to The Line Between Us, Anna and Ian are about to discover that crossing the line between disdain and something dangerously close to love is far more complicated than winning any race.
