Fandom: Grey's Anatomy Pairing: Jackson Avery × OC Abigail "Abbie" Reynolds has built a life around long shifts, tiny patients, and learning how to carry the weight of things she can't fix. Jackson Avery understands that kind of weight. They're already together. Already choosing each other. Already building something quiet and steady in the middle of Grey Sloan chaos. The Long Way Home follows their life one day at a time - each chapter a new shift, a new moment, a new test of balance between love, career, and the family they never planned but slowly grow into. This isn't a story about falling in love. It's about staying. About coming home exhausted. About fear, comfort, routines, and the lives that change between pagers going off. A family-focused Grey's Anatomy AU told through connected one-shot style chapters - emotional, grounded, and realistic.

For David "Deacon" Kay, serving as a K-42 SWAT officer for the LAPD isn't just a career-it's the fulfillment of a dream he's carried since he was a little boy. At 42, he is a veteran of the elite tactical unit, known for his steady hand and unbreakable focus.
