~ edit in progress ~ uploading whenever possible (usually: every Sunday) ~ Edited: Prologue, Chapters 1-4 Currently Editing: Chapter 5 "He is known in the Wild as Strider," his father Thranduil had said to him, before Legolas embarked on that journey to the North, seeking the son of Arathorn amongst the Dúnedain. Yet nothing in those words-or in the King's measured tone-had prepared him for the path already carved before him. A path that would not only alter his fate but entwine it with that of a stranger he meets in the shadows of a pub in Bree. Years later, as the War of the Ring fades into legend and the twilight of the Third Age gives way to the dawn of the Fourth, this unfortunate encounter follows the elven prince still. What then began as a diplomatic mission becomes a web of choices and consequences bound by a power older-and perhaps more perilous-than even Sauron's Ring. Alliances will be tested and from the echoes of the Old War new shadows will rise threatening to unravel the peace that was so hardly fought over to be claimed. What will it take to preserve what was won, and who will rise to pay the price when peace begins to fracture? An ongoing tale inspired by the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, this story delves into the untold corners of Middle-Earth-a journey of loyalty, sacrifice, and the unseen forces of fate that shape us all. Join the adventure, and help shape the unfolding tapestry of myth, mystery, and heroism displayed not by heroes but from those who bear its cost. ~ Book 1 out of 4 ~

"King Thranduil's voice rung out again, filling the area, 'And Legolas? Do not fail, she could be the tipping of the balance that Middle-earth needs.'" - Lumornel has always been a quiet girl, content with her nose stuck in a book or writing in her journal. She'd rather sit in a tree and read than leave the forests of her home. But she then learns that not all is as it seems. An unexpected quest is thrust upon her. Her shyness must be swept aside and she must stand strong as the War of the Rings rages on. And what happens when Lumornel stops an Uruk-Hai from shooting Boromir on Amon Hen and the Ring is taken from Frodo? In these times of troubles, she finds unexpected love in a certain woodland prince. She faces terrifying enemies, unexpected consequences, and surprising revelations, such as her part in an ancient prophecy. And one constant remains; the sorrow she feels for Arda. Most importantly, she finds herself in the middle of it all because of one thing: she bears a power that no one has been known to have. Because of this power, she is forced into the Fellowship of the Ring: the tenth member. - "This story is not your average Lord of the Rings fanfiction where some girl enters the fellowship as the tenth walker and inherits some strange ability, it is much more than that. It is a story of love and compassion, the battle against the mind's inner demons, and the weariness and desire for a better world that drives the soul." - • Completed 7/31/18 • - Awards won: •Overall Winner and •Best Female Character of the 'Precious Awards' hosted by @Meisha13578. •Second Place in 'The Battle of Helm's Deep' hosted by @Middle_Earth_Awards Highest Rankings: •1 in lotrfanfiction •1 in LotR •1 in middle-earth •1 in legolasgreenleaf •2 in Tolkien •1 in original character • 1 in lotrau •1 in projectclean • 2 in Legolasfanfiction - *Contains a chapter written by nonother than Monste

WATTYS SHORTLIST 2018 The heart desires the unreachable. A rare creature born of Middle Earth must undo the damage of her predecessor, who helped forge the Dark Lord's Ring of Power. Amidst her mental and physical weaknesses, she is challenged to become a warrior. If not, endless lives will be corrupted and extinguished. What is the key to defeating the shadows that threaten Middle Earth as well as the darkness that intends to smother her soul? Mirkwood is no exception to the kingdoms that are threatened by the Shadow. Instead of sailing to the undying lands, King Thranduil remains, creating a rift between him and Legolas, who stands against his father's pride and what appears to be insensibility. As he journeys with the Fellowship to destroy the Ring of Power, he begins to peel the layers of the mystery surrounding Mirkwood and himself - a mystery that draws him closer to the maiden that travels with them. Where Lord Elrond's firstborn was the evening star, his second born was the morning star. Blessed with the ability to call on the light of the dawn, Allora is a paragon of hope as she sheds light on a growing darkness. And as the tenth member of the Fellowship of the Ring, she journeys with them to destroy the One Ring for good and rid the lands of Middle-Earth of the darkness and evil of Sauron, the very being her father fought over 3000 years prior. Where he fought at the start of the battle, his daughter will fight for the end. But through all this fighting and all this darkness and light; through being the ray of hope for everyone else, Allora finds a ray of hope for herself. A ray of hope that takes form in her Elvish companion, Legolas. Facing darkness from the likes of which she's never seen and feelings from the likes of which she's never felt, it's safe to say that this battle is going to be harder than any that Allora has ever fought before in her long life. Wish her luck because she will surely need it. (The fellowship of the ring - the return of the king) (Disclaimer: I own nothing except for Allora and any original scenes and dialogue I have written) (A/N: The description could be better but it's a decent story, I promise. Hope you enjoy it and please, don't plagiarise it.)
