He was living as 3 different people, himself, Raphael, am Archangel, and his father. He took Reid to a cabin and kept him there for 2 days. He was tortured, physically and psychologically. He was beaten, killed, then later revived. He was forced to choose people to die and choose who lives. But most of all, he was drugged with an addictive narcotic, diluadid. After the ordeal with Hankle, he then grew addicted. But he's stayed clean for a long time now. He takes pride in that. He's just glad that the bastard who did that to him is dead.
