"do you understand?" he glances between the two girls. nineteen rubs her cheek on his shoulder, indicating that she understood perfectly. just to make sure, though, she lets out a small, "yes, hop" and smiles up at him. he pokes her left dimple and then turns to her sister. hopper reaches a hand up, pulling eleven's hair back behind her ear. he leans forwards, bringing nineteen with him. "i need you to understand." eleven looks up at him, trying not to cry. she nods.
