Cole has lost so much in his life. But he never imagined his life could get any more exciting and difficult at the same time. After one eventful night, Cole and the ninja go on a brand new adventure, deep into the Dark Island in hopes of bringing something, or someone back after all these years. While on their journey, he finds deep feelings for a certain ninja in red, and a prophecy that will change his life.

Life was once normal for the ninja. Not anymore. Ninjago has been taken over by an unusual enemy who released a terrible attack resulting in an apocalypse. The Ninja have to find a way to save Ninjago from these terrible creatures while two other ninja also find difficulty in expressing their feelings for each other. Morro leaves the others a message that he has Kai and time is running out to find him! They're not sure where he is but is planning on searching all over Ninjago.
