Bilbo Baggins didn't expect to have to raise another child other than Frodo, but one night Gandalf came carrying an elf baby and begging Bilbo to help him. Bella is an elf among hobbits and on Bilbo's 111th birthday, she starts to learn the truth of who she really is. The daughter of Lord Elrond. (This story is still new and I am trying to follow the book events since it will be a little different from the movies.)

I awoke covered in dirt and pine needles, in a forest, surrounded by lush vegetation and brush. It looked like it was afternoon, but I wasn’t positive. I sat up and kneaded my eyes, curious as how I came to be here. “Where am I?” I asked myself. I glanced around, looking for anything familiar, but I was positive I had never been here before. How did I get here? As I tried to stand up, my head began to spin. Suddenly, I realized why I felt so odd. I braced myself against a tree trunk and thought very hard for a moment. Yes, I was positive. I didn’t know who I was.

Ithilwen is a 21 year old police officer in New York. As an orphan Ithilwen has no idea about her past or the gifts which are hiding deep within her. One day she is racing to work when she is dragged into an alleyway. Strange occurrences lead Ithilwen to M.E. where she first meets Gandalf. Eventually the story will take us on an adventure with Ithilwen and the Fellowship as they journey to save Middle Earth from the dark lord Sauron. Follow Ithilwen as she discovers no only her past but also her present and maybe even her future. Romance also ensues within the Fellowship as Ithilwen catches the eye of two males. Ever since, she has become close to some of the Baggins family, particularly her adoptive father, Bilbo, and adoptive brother, Frodo Baggins, who is also Bilbo's nephew. Marlena's story begins on the day of Bilbo's 111th birthday, a day that will change her life, and Frodo's, forever.
