From online entertainment pioneer, actress, and “queen of the geeks” Felicia Day, You’re Never Weird on the Internet (Almost) is a funny, quirky, and inspiring memoir about her unusual upbringing, her rise to internet stardom, and embracing her weirdness to find her place in the world. From Felicia: "The heart of my story is that the world opened up for me once I decided to embrace who I am—unapologetically. My story demonstrates that there’s no better time in history to have a dream and be able to reach an audience with your art. Or just be as weird as you want to be and not have to be ashamed. That lesson’s just as legit." Share how you #embraceyourweird in the comments of each excerpt! "Take her." It occurred to me now was probably a good time to speak, but for the life of me I couldn't get a single syllable to pass my lips. The man suddenly gasped at something and looked out onto the street, cursing under his breath. Turning back to look at me, he glanced down to the kid I was now sporting. Darkness covered his face so I could see nothing but the curve of his jaw. The lighting angled my way was most likely worse. Could he even see me? I heard a car engine in the distance and the man's hands squeezed harder, making me cringe. "Take her," he repeated with urgency. "Go." And then he was gone. ___________ It has been two years since Haven found herself in the possession of a baby girl. Now she is moving back to Corvallis, Oregon to go to college at OSU, her original plan when she moved there the first time. But now she has her sister and her daughter coming with her. When Haven steps into the bookstore near campus in search for a job, the last thing she thought she would see is the father who abandoned her daughter. Keaton's presence has Haven on edge, but will she feel the same after she is forced to spend time with the guy she once thought she hated? The people Keaton has spent years running from are closer than he thinks and now his daughter isn't the only one being threatened.

Michael is looking for a new start and a way to manage his anger issues when he moves back to Sydney, leaving his mum behind, and moves in with his former best friend, Ashton. Unfortunately, Michael finds that starting over is much more difficult than he expects; Michael doesn't expect that there'd be a boy so timid Michael can't even raise his voice around him, and Michael certainly doesn't expect to care. But he does care, and if Michael doesn't learn to control his anger soon, Luke Hemmings might slip away--and Michael can't let that happen. Highest rank: Fanfiction #19

"Next!" The fortune teller calls. Michael smiled sheepishly at Ashton as he pulled back the curtain, walking in and taking his seat. They didn't believe in this crap; it was a dare. The fortune teller didn't look at her ball, or even Michael for that matter. She looked past his shoulder, her hands slightly shaking as they rested on the table. "You have a dark spirit following you." Who knew from that day, Michael's world would get turned upside down, all by a dark spirit named Luke Hemmings.
