(WARNING: WoF human AU! - Tribes are like races of a sort in this fanfic, maybe think of them as groups/types of people) It's summer vacation at Jade Mountain Academy (High school)! Moonwatcher, Winter, Kinkajou, Turtle, Qibli, and Aqua (SeaWing OC) decide to have a little group reunion after weeks without seeing each other due to everyone being busy during the summer. The reunion starts out lovely, everyone's catching up and chatting about what they've been up to. But two certain "friends" feel an awkward tension around each other because of a past rivalry between their tribes which has gotten in the way before. But the tension only gets worse when both realize what it really is. . . a crush.

It's been a while since Moon chose Qibli over Winter and she has been having second thoughts on this whole love life with Qibli, she leaves one night in search of Sanctuary, a place where Winter is taking care of scavengers. When she does, he's surprised to see her and thinks it's only a friendly meeting. A new threat also arrives to Pyrrhia. It's a mutated hybrid, it's nothing like before. Will Moon, and her friends stop this evil before Pyrrhia crumbles under the control of this evil doing. (I do not own any of these characters, they belong to Tui. T Sutherland. Also some Star Wars references in here because Star Wars is cool)

Alternate story to the second arc of Wings of Fire. Moon starts school at JMA to, A: actually learn things and B: make friends(since she has none). Her winglet accepts her with all her defects(minus mindreading, she can't tell them that! They'll hate her, more than she's sure wi- I alre- they already do), accept Winter. Prince Winter of the icewings, he snobby, but somehow self -conscience. Hates all other tribes, yet somehow is so intrigued by their differences. Is so mean to her, yet still wonders... what is hiding under all those layers? She could say the same about him. See what goes down between moon, the shy nightwing with secrets, and winter, the moody icewing whose entire personality is a secret. In which Winter (poor child- he is trying his best) and Moon (the most oblivious) are humans at a boarding school in Washington State, and I spew forth fluffy headcanons and lovely tropes at an astonishing rate. There's umbrella sharing, mutual ditching of social activities, getting caught in the rain, large bottles of glitter, Planet Earth, texting, stargazing, fuzzy scarves, dream pop, electronica, Metallica, Zebulon Finch (you don't want to know), lab partner aus, kissing, slow-dancing, beanbags, and appearances from our other friends (Kinkajou, Qibli, Umber, Turtle, and others), as well as lots of sweet fluffy stuff with very little angst (but still some angst because I am an Overdramatic Teenager and I could not resist and, besides, Winter is pretty much the Angst Lord).
