{Watty Awards 2013 Winner} This is simply a story about a lonely girl who finds love. I was inspired to write this because I wanted to know that there are good things that happen to invisible girls like me. I wanted to write Hope for those who seem hopeless. • • • In March of 2013, Letters was #1 in the short story category. I'd tell you I'm not a writer, but you would rebuke that with a simple, "Of course you are. You just don't realize it yet." I guess I didn't realize a lot of things. This one's for you, one of the most troubled yet content people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing--even for such a short amount of time.

“you are like the blissful smell of fresh coffee on a Monday morning” - 16 year old Rayla Evans was the town’s Golden Girl, being the mayor’s daughter. Her days consisted of parties, interviews, snobbish balding men and their pretentious wives. When she stepped into the local café at two in the morning, she was not expecting to stumble upon Derrick Nolan, the outcast. Or at least that is what the townspeople know him as. What they don't know, both of them share a past that intertwined their lives. Who knew that so much could happen over a cup of coffee. (c) diyana of veiled_ any similarities is coincidence and if the work is plagiarised, i will feed you to the sharks.
