My eyes were literally glowing, there was no mistaking it. It was not a reflection of light, or any of the other excuses I had used or others had assumed. They were glowing a light sapphire blue color. It was not a bright glow, but it was definitely a glow. Glowing eyes were not normal. Okay, at this point I had to admit it, I was no longer normal. ***FINISHED! AND FULLY UPLOADED*** "Your friend was right," the villain says, tilting her chin towards the moon. My mouth's on autopilot now as I mentally uncurl from the fetal position. "Uh, first, why do you know my friends? Second, about what?" Her eyes light up like jack-o'-lanterns. "You're adorable when you're scared out of your mind." ***Now a Wattpad featured story*** Having superpowers is awesome, unless you're Angelos Fibbs. When a kidnap attempt leaves him with incredible superpowers and a price on his head, this one-liner-loving dork must choose: hurt or be hurt. Supervillain or damsel in distress. He's a lover, not a telekinetic black-leather-wearing killer, and he wants to keep it that way. The fates of his best friends hang in the balance, and if he can't face his biggest fears, he'll become a pawn to a powerful underground whose dark intentions could destroy his city, and possibly, the world. Life just got messy for the clean-freak super. WARNING: Mild swearing, and a 'spit' load of dorky alternatives. Nerdy humor, cliffhangers, plot twists, fights, and a love triangle so complex it's more or less a love blob. May cause spontaneous shipping. Also includes enough Star Wars references to make George Lucas cringe. Read at your own risk. COMPLETE *** Highest ranking #1 in Adventure on July 8, 2016

This much I know, I won't succumb to those that chase me, I'll take them out first.

Society. It can be a great yet terrible thing. The Rich run it, the Poor enslaved by it. Many are discriminated by it for various reasons. Those on top are powerful and will do anything to stay powerful. They will even kill for it. Amongst the victims of discrimination are supernaturally enabled humans. A.K.A Supers. ~~~ I felt terror rise in me and, as another hand pulled at the knotted fabric of the blindfold at the back of my head, I closed my eyes to stop it from brushing them. Instead, it rubbed against my eyelids and lashes before it fell to the floor. Opening my eyes, I came face-to-face with the super that held me captive. Or what little there was to see of him. There was a dim light being given off by a candle somewhere nearby. More filtered in from somewhere else in the room, but not much. Combine the bad lighting with the mask he was wearing, there wasn't much to see. Only the lower half of his face was on show, the skin tan and smooth. A strong jaw, pink lips, flared nostrils and the bottom parts of his cheeks were all I was getting off this guy. The holes where his eyes watched me taking him in were filled with shadow, so I couldn't see what colour they were. A black mask covered the rest of his face, his hair was styled and dark, blending in with the shadows around us.

This is a superhero story, but not as you know it. This one has a twist. One question that is always asked is, "If you could have a superpower, what would it be?" We all assume so many things when asked this question. We assume we'd actually get the ability to choose a superpower. If you think about it, none of the mainstream superheroes got to choose their powers; they just adapted their lifestyles to the power. This is where the twist comes in. Drew Tuller, 17, gets the chance to choose what superpower he wants. He gets to test out 33 different superpowers and gets to keep one in the end. He goes on his journey of attaining a power with his three best friends, Dirk, Brady, and Rachel. Join them, if you're brave enough. Be careful, though - in searching for something new, you might lose old things that are most precious to you.

Seventeen-year-old Gavin Hillstone is resigned to being miserable for the rest of his life. Left alone in the world after his parents died in a fire when he was four, he was placed in foster care, which for him meant ending up in an abusive home with an alcoholic adoptive father. Gavin’s only escape is in taking and creating images. His camera is his refuge from the unending torture and isolation of daily life in his “family.” Until he learns by accident that he isn’t alone in the world after all. His father’s parents are still alive and living in Washington DC. When he takes the plunge and travels 3,000 miles to find his grandparents, he learns that they—and he—are part of something much bigger, and more dangerous, than he could ever have imagined. Something that has always put his family at risk and that will now threaten his own life, while forever changing it. He learns that he is one of the last descendants of a small group of Photo Travelers—people who can travel through time and space through images. But his initial excitement turns to fear, when he soon discovers that he and his grandparents are being pursued by the fierce remnants of a radical European Photo Traveler cult, the Peace Hunters. What Gavin has, they want! His adventure will take him to past eras, like The Great Depression and the Salem Witch Trials. Gavin will have to discover who he really is and must make choices that spell the difference between life and death for himself, for the relatives he now knows and loves, and for the girl he will come to love. For Gavin, life will never be the same.
