Hi! This is a Duskwood fan fic that I wrote a while ago and I decided to re-write after deleting it ages ago!! It's back! It's going to be a wild ride since I'm re-writing most of it completely and adding new charm and fun to it. Please read the disclaimers and TWs before starting the fic🖤

Six months. Six long months since that night in the mine, since the fire, since the last time she read it. Alessia now lives among the shadows of a past that refuses to die, isolated in an unknown city, protected by Alan Bloomgate, the only man who has remained by her side... although even he knows that there are wounds that neither time, nor distance, can heal. A Duskwood fanfiction. Taking place after chapter 10. Spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't completed chapter 10. It has been eight long days since MC (Lia) has heard anything from Jake and her friends from Duskwood. After so many failed attempts to get in contact with anyone and being completely ignored, Lia decided to go to Duskwood herself to see if everyone was alright. To her shock, she sees that her friends including Jake are having a good time without her. Has everything they said to her been a lie? Has Jake only used her as a tool to find Hannah? Before Lia could find answers to her question, she soon finds herself in the same predicament as Hannah, just that now she has to deal with someone worse than the man without face. Her only hope is Jake, but could she trust him to save her after what she saw? Taking place after chapter 10, Richy is still here, Hannah is part of the group now, Phil is still a flirt and Dan has prepared popcorn for some (obvious) reasons. Jake x female MC x Phil, romance, crime, drama, humor, first and third POV. New chapters will be added everyday. What if Rue (MC) got too worried after Jake didn't texted her again for 2 days and decided to visit Duskwood ? Jake x MC (Rue)

Post episode 10, and picks up immediately after the end of the game. This is going to be a slow burn featuring Jake x f!MC. It is going to be as faithful as I can make it to the events of the game, which also means taking as realistic an approach as possible to the psychological ramifications of what happened to each of the characters. So this won't be a fluff piece, but neither will it wallow in its own misery. It just won't make light of, or be cavalier to, the tremendous trauma that the characters have endured throughout the game. I have tried quite hard to ensure that there is as little immersion loss as possible with my version of the f!MC, so it is my hope that you will be able to have her be whomever she is in your head (to a degree). The MC's name will never be said as I personally find that even using the titular MC or y/n is still jarring, and I will try to keep descriptions of her to as generic a feel as possible without inadvertently causing said immersion loss as it makes you wonder what Jake ever saw in such a basic bitch. The descriptions of Jake have been lifted from what little information we are given in game about him, with a little artistic liberty to describe how I see him in my mind's eye. Because I love my boy Jake and there is no way that I can write a story about him without describing the fuck out of him. Submitted for your approval. I hope that you enjoy.
