Pero en la actualidad de este mundo, sonic era MUY diferente...Las esmeraldas caos se negaban a otorgarle su poder y este las forzó a dárselo utilizando una energía llamada Ki, esto permitió que atraves del reemplazo de energía caos por ki provocó una "evolución" en la súper forma pero la realidad es que la misma se volvía débil comparada con la original. Las esmeraldas caos tenían conciencia y vida propia, esto causó que se llenaran de odio hacia aquel faker que las utilizaba, la energía negativa del propio mundo impulsó la oscuridad que nacía en las esmeraldas caos, crearían un ser nacido del sonic pasado, hecho para arrebatarle todo a aquel que fue sonic pero ahora era uno de los seres más despreciables del mundo. Este ser nacido del odio iba a arrebatarle todo y revelar la verdad al mundo sobre su supuesto héroe.
