I felt my breath catch in my throat as the mists finally released the figure from its clutches, a tall toned hedgehog wearing a long deep maroon velvet waistcoat with decorative gold trimming, walked into view. His silk black lace-up shirt contrasted against his soft white chest fur that peeked out the top of the v-neck. Underneath his clothes I could tell his fur was black as coal and yet, red stripes seemed to break up the darkness, highlighting his features. "Captain," called a black and white tiger-ess leaning against the starbout side. "Report" "We're going to feast tonight Captain, got some nice grub, teas, spices and a few silks," she said licking her lips "and the Captain's quarters has got some lovely furniture " The Captian grunted in acknowledgement before turning away from us. "You know what to do. Kill'em and take the goods or anything that catches your eye" "Wait,"my uncle's voice cut through the air before I could voice my own"Kill me if you want, just release my crew" The Captain didn't even pause as he claimed back up the quarter deck steps. "Your honour to protect your men is noble but it makes no differents" "An exchange then"my uncle called just before the pirate captain fully disappeared into the mist. He lived with his roomate Tails the Fox and his pet Hedgehog Shadow named after his shyness, love for the dark and his fur that was black like the shadows. Sonic loved his hedgehog, he was like him in a way if he was an average hedgehog with no mobian features and Shadow loved his owner as much as any pet would love his. One day though, Shadow gets lost and comes back full mobian all by the work of Sonic's enemy Eggman. When full mobian, Shadow starts to notice the strange feelings he's always had for Sonic grow more and more. He doesn't know what it's called. Sonic says it's love but the azure already gave his heart to someone else.. .. Note this is an au, all ages and personalities are altered to fit the fic.
