Melody Grimes, the one person at camp that Daryl actually didn't hate. It was shocking, a Dixon showing a little bit of feeling towards someone. Although, he didn't show it much, he kept it bottled up just like a Dixon would. Melody felt empty, the only anchor she ever had was her brother, who was dead and gone. Hopefully she'll find her anchor where someone else was looking, maybe they could be each others anchors.

When Staff Sergeant Grace Ellis finds herself in the middle of the apocalypse she doesn't know what exactly to do. She is separated from her sister and is forced to put all feelings aside to deal with the tasks at hand. The last thing she had on her mind was finding the love of her life.

I ran as fast as my feet would carry me. My lungs gasped for oxygen. I knew I had to stop, but he could still be following me. I pushed myself harder. I needed to get away, far away. From him. From this. I remember I just woke up one day, and went to work as usual. I drove my squad car around town on patrol, but I saw bodies. Bodies everywhere. They were dead bodies, but they weren't still on the ground. They were walking around. As if they had re-animated. I shook away the memories from the day it started all those weeks ago and focused on my running. It was almost sunrise and I figured I could stop soon. As soon as I knew I was safe.
