Mula sa pamilya ng historians at archaeologists, lumaki si Cyrene na may malawak na kaalaman sa kasaysayan. Ngunit sa hindi inaasang pagkakataon ay napunta siya sa panahong hindi puspusang naibahagi o naitala sa mga aklat tungkol sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas, at nakilala ang isang tanyag na ngalan sa mga alamat -- si Prinsesa Urduja. Sa bilis ng mga pangyayari ay natagpuan na lamang niya ang kanyang sarili bilang punong babaylan ng nayong pinamumunuan ng prinsesa.
