At court, everything is seen. Some things are simply never spoken of. Violette Banefort is not what they expected-neither half-mad nor power-hungry, but something far more inconvenient: impossible to silence. As lady-in-waiting to Elowyn Florent, she was meant to observe, to behave, to disappear into the background of court life. Instead, she provokes a prince. And Maekar Targaryen-who was never known for restraint-proves more than willing to be provoked.

She was born of two Targaryens , her father a king, her mother a princess who had been a queen in all but name, locked away by a holy man who feared what she carried in her blood. She inherited their silver hair, their violet eyes, their particular talent for surviving things that should have broken them. He was born fourth. Overlooked. Too much of everything the court didn't want and not enough of anything it did. They legitimised her with a dying king's breath and a name that tasted like iron. She took it. She wore it. She learned to carry it quietly, the way you carried things too heavy to put down. The Red Keep held them both, corridors and banquets and tournaments and gardens at night. A thing that had no name because neither of them would give it one. The world was already fracturing. She felt it sometimes, in the way her brother laughed too easily at things that weren't funny. He felt it in the way the court watched Daemon and smiled too carefully. Neither of them said it out loud. Some silences are louder than anything. Some losses happen before the dying. Some things end before the war. This is one of them. All characters and the world of A Song of Ice and Fire belong to George R.R. Martin. No copyright infringement is intended. Daelys Blackfyre is an original character created for this story. This is a work of fan fiction written purely for love of the source material.

In 1518, a shadow hangs over the glittering court. England is strong, the King victorious, yet behind the walls of Whitehall Palace, doubts, longings, and dangerous decisions are growing. King Henry VIII is slowly beginning to lose hope that Catherine of Aragon will give him the longed-for male heir. The years pass, the pressure mounts, and with it, his perspective on the future of his kingdom shifts. At the same time, Bianca of Castile is now 18 years old. The quiet girl has become a young woman, intelligent, beautiful, and dangerously well-connected. The blood of Europe's most powerful dynasties flows in her veins, and at the English court, it is becoming clear that she is more than just a shadowy queen mother of England. Between power, duty, and forbidden feelings, a game of loyalty and betrayal unfolds. As alliances crumble and new ones form, one question looms large: Who will determine the future of England? And at what price? ------- This story can also be read without having read the story of Bianca of Castile in The Spanish Princess.

Ser Arthur Dayne, the legendary Sword of the Morning, is known across the Seven Kingdoms as the very image of chivalry - a knight sworn to honor, duty, and the white cloak of the Kingsguard. Loyal to his king and closest friend to Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, Arthur lives by the vows that bind him: to serve, to protect, and to love no woman. Princess Saera Targaryen, the eldest daughter of King Aerys II and Queen Rhaella, is everything the court whispers about - beautiful, kind, and gentle, with silver-gold hair and violet eyes like amethysts. Yet behind the smiles and royal grace lies a young woman shaped by loss, loneliness, and years spent far from home. From the moment Arthur is assigned as the young princess's sworn protector, an unexpected bond forms between them. What begins as quiet glances and shy smiles grows into something deeper through years of secret letters, stolen moments, and feelings neither of them should have. But in the dangerous court of the Red Keep, love is not a luxury either of them can afford. For Arthur is bound by his sacred vows... And Saera is a dragon princess whose life will never truly belong to her. As political tensions rise and fate begins to stir in the realm, their hearts will be tested between duty and desire - and some vows may prove harder to keep than others. Ser Arthur Dayne x Princess Saera Targaryen (OC) All characters belong to George R. R. Martin except for my original character.

They call Lady Mirella cold. She does not smile for court, does not flatter, does not pretend. In a world that rewards softness, she chooses restraint. She loves fiercely, disciplines sharply, and refuses to perform for men who mistake silence for weakness. But as her children grow into legends - and something darker - Mirella learns that control is an illusion, and fire does not care how steady your hands are. Power has never been controlled.
