Wei Ying was thrown into the burial mounds by Wen Chao, he found Went Ning and together they managed to survive. When he got out, the war at nightless city was still going on, but with Wei Ying they managed to defeat the Wen's but ended up being exhausted at the end of the fight. Lan Zhan got worried over him because of the amount of resentful energy that Wei Ying held and ultimately decided to take him to cloud recesses. Wei Ying grew inseparable from Lan Zhan and always got tense when he was alone, he only felt safe around Lan Zhan, and it confused him because he had two amazing siblings and Lan Xichen was also extremely kind and on some level he did also feel safe with them but he never felt fully safe until he was with Lan Zhan. Lan Zhan on the other hand always tried his best to make Wei Ying feel safe and talk to him about how he was feeling, which always seemed to help the younger. The two had gotten to a point where they would spend every day and night together, becoming inseparable from each other, and that's when they both realized that they had feelings for each other. So, who will confess to the other first?

This will be a xianwang story, Wei Ying top / Lan Zhan bottom. Not much story about Wei Ying been on top. When Wei Ying fall from the cliff after removing his hand from Lan Zhan, he see Lan Zhan taking out his sword and stabbed him self. Wei Ying eye went wide, "LAN ZHAN!" Wei Ying woke up screaming , "Lan Zhan!" He fisted his heart as tears run down his face. 'Why Lan Zhan? Why did you do that?' This story will be put on hold. After saving Wei Wuxian from NeverNight Lan Wangji take Wei Wuxian back to the burial mound. He set up a barrier so no one can get through. "Wei Ying...let's go back..." "Go...Back....where..." come a weak Wei Wuxian. "Go back to our 16 year old self....go back when we study in Cloud Recesse...." Lan Wangji held Wei z Wuxian close to him. "Lan...Zhan...." "Even if you die....I will go with you....I'm sorry Wei Ying....I wasn't there to protect you....I wasn't there to stand by your side....I'm sorry I doubted you."
