Born with a photographic memory, she tries to make herself not seem like a genius so she wouldn't make close friends feel bad. She studies to be a nurse at a nearby college prior to her mother getting sick. When her mother gets sick, she meets Dr. Robert Chase and the two begin flirting while her mother is getting the medicine she needs. After her mother's recovery, Chase gives her his card with his number on the back just in case she needs help with studying or simply wants to go for a drink.
