When two teens who have gone to the same school their entire lives finally notice each other after a coffee incident, they begin to notice eachother more and more and more up until they notice everything about eachother. Up until the two are almost dependent on eachother.
Rory Mack has had a tough childhood. Her parents fighting non-stop. Her having to be the superhero and protect her younger brother, Asher, and try to prevent him from the anger that has been permanently set on herself. She doesn't want that for her brother. And finally, her parents make the smartest choice they could have to help that. It doesn't change a lot, but when Rory finds Blake, her parents decisions don't affect her nearly as much as they did before she had Blake to tune out all of the disfunction in her life.
To say Blake Tather has had it rough is lower than an understatement. His mom took her life, leaving him with his dads irresponsible parenting. It's the same pattern with him. Get drunk, pick a fight with Blake and very rarely, but sometimes, also his sister, Roselyn, pass out watching TV, wake up with a pounding hangover at 2pm the next day and repeat. It's a tiring cycle. And Blake is mentally and physically utterly exhausted, that he doesn't even fight back to his father unless it's his sister that he's choosing to hurt. She's the only thing she cares about. More than himself and more than whatever his dad does to him. Or, that was his mentality until Rory comes into the picture. Suddenly, he has an expanision of room in his heart.
Will eachothers presence vill the void in both of their lives or is love not as strong as some say? Rory and Blake are willing to test that limit.
