Y/n is the younger sister of the well-known Takashi Shirogana, better known as Shiro. With her Garrison friends, she is thrown into a galactic war against the Galra Empire. Together, they fight to keep the universe safe, using the giant robot warrior Voltron and the mighty Voltron Lion.

King Alfor tried to combine the rock with Altean technology, but every time the tech would blow up. When Zarkon tried to take the lions by force, Alfor sent the rock with the Blue Lion to Earth. Nine-thousand-nine-hundred-and-eighty-two years later, the rock leaves the lion and goes to a baby in a local hospital. The rock melts itself and goes into the baby's bloodstream.
