THE YEAR IS 2050. Human-like androids have become integrated into society and every household, becoming part of our daily lives. They look exactly like us from the pigment of their artificial skin to every follicle of their hair. They protect. They serve. They obey. They learn. Tyler North is a struggling young photographer in New York. When he wins a voucher for a personalized android, Tyler reluctantly purchases one and names it Aiden. Instead of a dull subservient Android, he was blown away by Aiden's adaptiveness, and is not like the regular androids Tyler had met before. However, Tyler can't hide Aiden's free-willed gift against the corporation that built him who planned to use Aiden for a more sinister purpose. Whoever controls Aiden can change Earth for the better...or worse. Mechanical Gods is a near-future Science Fiction Epic by D. Alec Lyle, infused with stylized heart-pounding action, sleek thriller, and provocative intrigue. Picked as part of Wattpad's Up and Coming List (2018), and Editor's Choice List (2020). STATS: 132,385 words [ 511 pages in a paperback ] [Highest -- #1 in Science Fiction] [ #1 in Philosophical ] [ #1 in Android ] [ #1 in LGBT ] [ #1 in artificialintelligence]

Farrah asked in a low voice, still clutching the outfit close to her body. Isen tapped a long nail against his hard jaw, trying to figure out an appropriate response to her question. He eventually shrugged, shaking his head like it wasn't important. "I have been here ever since the Purification." He glanced up at the starry sky, "Things are much more different down here..."} xxx No human expected their demise would arrive from the heavens, disguised in a bright, foreign blue light that instantly killed billions. Farrah is a survivor, and as far as she knows, the only one. All she has left is a small house in the town of Windsburg- an isolated, quiet area with food to provide for a whole community. But every place has its demons. When the sun sets, an unknown entity lurks through the town, only to leave and repeat the same process the next night. Farrah has managed to avoid confronting the creature, but an unexpected turn of events forces her to be outside at the wrong time- an action that would result in her making contact with a fearful, yet unusually friendly monster...

Shadow Demon x Human - Contemporary Fantasy When Thalia decided to go back to college, she kinda-sorta hoped to reignite the excitement she felt as a young adult. Enter Maktov Algrise, a shadow demon whose corporeal form is constantly swathed in darkness. Well, except his teeth. Which, strangely, catch Thalia's eye to the point of distraction. (Much to Maktov's chagrin.) Everything is fine, as she watches the shadowy figure from afar. Well, until they're assigned to an animation group project for their ambiguous art class. As two of the oldest - generally more responsible and stable - of the group, Maktov and Thalia find themselves spending more time together in efforts to complete the project.

WATTY 2019 WINNER Hale, a state of the art android, can do nearly anything a human can. He cooks meals, cleans and organizes the house, repairs broken appliances, and runs errands. He can even provide for the more carnal needs of his owner. None of these tasks should present any challenge for Hale, and they don't-until he meets his next door neighbour, Rayner. Rayner seems like an unassuming gardener, but he asks Hale a lot of questions. Does Hale wish he could smell or taste food? What would he look like if his appearance hadn't been chosen for him? From the moment they meet, Hale runs into errors in otherwise simple tasks. He experiences bizarre sensations that none of his diagnostic tools can explain, and struggles to appease the people in his owner's social circle. As the errors in his programming begin to wear on his owner's patience, Hale faces the most difficult decision yet. If he can't evolve to meet her needs, he'll be returned and recycled into parts for future androids. If he does evolve, is he still just an android? Or something more? In all this, Rayner is the only man who can help him, and Rayner only has one question left for Hale. What does he want? Hale wasn't designed to want anything, but perhaps he can find the answer in the man with all the questions. Aaron Kingston believed in fate. No, he didn't just believe in it; he saw it. He saw the red strings of fate that connected soulmates to one another. He saw everyone's but his own, and that was okay. He didn't mind the surprise. That is, he didn't mind until he found his mates - yes, mates - during the worst possible time. Because The Eye was coming for him and his kin. They were not going to pause for him to explain to his mates what made him...different. And that might take a while. A long while. No, the enemy was growing impatient. So impatient, that they were willing to do anything. Anything. ~~~ BOOK 2 Please read Blueberry Scones before reading this or you will be very lost!

Wren Arroyo's wolf was broken. Born without a complete sense of smell, Wren knew he would never have that magical moment when true mates smell each other and meet, but he was okay with that. Joshua Hansen, soon-to-be-beta of his pack, didn't know a visit to a neighboring pack would give him his mate. His only problem? His mate had no clue they had a mate bond. Then throw an alpha boyfriend, not very helpful friends, and a lot of awkwardness in and mix it all together to create Wren and Joshua's not-so-perfect love story. But those are the best kinds of stories, right? BOOK 1

Life is always fun when you never get into trouble for causing mischief. Julie is a pro at keeping her packmates on their toes with her innocent fun. It's a perk of being a Comforter and never losing her puppy-like appearance. Admittedly, there are times when her skills are needed, and she takes her job quite seriously then. She isn't a fighter, but rather, is one who cares for others' hearts. A Comforter. After all, who doesn't want to hug a puppy? But those in need of comfort are often in pain and feel surrounded by darkness. To be a light in someone's world, you will have to walk through the darkness. --------------------- What do most werewolf books have in common? They either focus on mates or on fighting. I decided to try a more unique route. No romance will be found here - this book focuses on the ties of friendship and hope. A wholesome love-at-first sight werewolf story where the mate isn't an Alpha, and they actually want to be together. Life as a rogue isn't easy, especially for a runt living in No Man's Land. Jade has gained an impressive set of skills over the years, such as evading ferals, camouflaging her scent, and sniffing out expensive truffles, but few packs want to accept a runt. When she finally gets invited into a pack, she picks up an irresistible scent. Her soulmate. Jade must decide if she's willing to grasp what is likely her only chance at unconditional love - or flee in case her potential mate rejects her and shatters her heart forever. ---- Excerpt: My steps faltered as I noticed that two of the pursuing wolves had sped ahead and were waiting to intercept me. I launched toward a tree and ricocheted off at a ninety-degree angle without slowing down. One of the wolves behind quickly followed and began closing in. I started to panic, looking around frantically for a way to escape. I saw a rabbit burrow under a small bramble bush and desperately raced towards it. I darted under the edge of the plant and heard the tan wolf go around as he expected me to come out the other side. It gave me the precious seconds I needed to squeeze down the tunnel. My relief was short-lived - the rabbit that dug this burrow had not survived long enough to finish it. The tunnel was only about twice as long as the average human arm, and I could clearly see the entrance. I sent a silent prayer that the bramble bush would deter them and that they would not realize just how shallow this burrow was. I waited anxiously.
