A collection of my own poems and prose about a toxic relationship. An ode to toxic men. I needed to get my feelings onto a page bluntly enough to offer relief yet briefly enough for me to escape unscathed. Sometimes, I write early in the morning after I wake up, before my mind reels with flashbacks; other times during the day when the mood struck or late at night when I'm too upset to sleep. Some of the poems are fuelled by unmitigated rage, anger & betrayal. Writing poems has helped me breathe again. Most importantly, I've found my voice again, which I felt was taken from me.
