They are from different backgrounds and have different ways of connecting to death, and have different personalities, which will make the stories different from each other. However they do have certain similarities - they are around the same age, and are gifted in music. They also connect with death. Also these are happening in parallel universes so the setting is the same, which could lead to the two heroines meeting each other, although death may not give it much of a meaning and might just describe the encounter as - 'she met a boy and greeted him.'
