[Featured in FreetheLGBT: Diverse Literature reading list and Humor: Young. Dumb. Full of Fun list] Colin Mitchell, a photographer at a well-known store, Snapshot, is openly gay--mostly. His ideal experiences are sexcapades that are always subtle, never out of line and straight to the point. (Ironic, isn't it?) However, he meets Peter Chu: a snarky Chinese student with a loud mouth and more issues than Vogue. His intriguing persona has Colin enraptured and willing to throw away his CADBMBB- 'Clients Aren't Dated, But May Be Banged' principle--and take things further than they've ever gone with any guy. Circumstances push both their lives together, with Peter seeking to find his own path after a bad break up and a significant move. Colin is willing to walk that blazed trail with him--in more ways than one. But there is one problem... Peter is as straight as they come. Adrian Gonzalez knows the painful truth about liking someone you have no chance with-they never like you back and you're left heartbroken. Ever wonder why it's called a 'crush?' But when the hopeless crush he has is on Parker Thompson-nonbinary school heartthrob with an impeccable fashion sense-he can't help but wish things would turn out differently. Staring at Parker from two seats behind in Biology is fine, and praying he doesn't get a boner when Parker jogs ahead of him in gym class is less fine- -but neither are as satisfying as he wishes they were. A class group chat is all it takes to intertwine Adrian's and Parker's lives. And one impulsive, stupid, never-wish-I-typed-it reply is the turning point for Adrian's love story. ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ ☆Featured on @WattpadSocialMedia DM me reading list ☆Featured on @YARomance Friendzone Doesn't Exist reading list ☆ONC 2021 Longlist Ambassadors Pick ☆ONC 2021 Shortlist ☆ONC 2021 Honourable Mention Based on Prompt 73 Started: 5th February 2021

At first glance, nobody would be able to tell that Nathaniel Jean had a problem. Or second glance, or third, or fourth. After all, he had everything. He was a captain of his school's soccer team and one of the top players in the state. He had a big house and money to spend. He had family, he had friends, he had fun, he had faith. He never meant for it to happen. He never wanted to look at another man in the way he should have been looking at a woman. The idea had disgusted him for most of his life - living in a heavily Catholic town with heavily Catholic parents, homophobia was the only response he knew. That didn't change when he first realized that he didn't like girls. No, Nathaniel Jean was still homophobic. He hated the idea of a man sleeping with another man. He was raised on the notion that all gays went to hell, and he believed it. He despised them, and so he despised himself. Nathaniel Jean was more fortunate than most, because help did arrive for him. Help by the name of Lucas Morgan, they boy he'd always known but never known. The boy with big dreams and bigger talent. The boy that changed Nathaniel's life over the course of their thirty-six week long senior year.
