I can hear him, everywhere. I always see him but he disappears right when I look. I only get glimpses of him. From what I can tell he has blonde hair, piercing red eyes but the worst thing is his smirk. That's how he pulls you in.

There i was, looking around the theatre for my favorite band 5 seconds of summer. Little did i know that this event will be the best thing that could happen to me. My name is Lowri Ember Koa, im 14 and a not so normal teenager. I was born in Wales but moved here to Texas a couple of weeks ago. My life isnt perfect. I'm labelled with things such as anxiety, insecurities, problems with my weight and height, depression, self harm and more. All i needed was someone to save me from this awful curse called my life and as i searched harder and harder i was oblivious that the one i needed was right in front of me. "Luke, Michael, Ashton and Calum. You may have heard their band, 5 seconds of summer. Well anyways folks, the news is in, each and every member of the band is now engaged and are due to marry throughout the year. I can practically hear the hearts of the teenage girls across the globe breaking upon hearing this news, but I can clarify this is 100% true, and each member has sent out a tweet confirming the news! What a day to remember!" The tv presenter cackled, shuffling the cards he had lain on his lap. "Next on today's show...." They needed their public status improved, management proclaimed the only way to do that was for them to set up fake engagements for each band member. (This was previously 'Behind these walls', but I was not happy with that story at all, so I have decided to rewrite a new story, so please bare with me.)

I slowly traced my finger over the bruises on his face, then let my eyes travel up to meet his. "Kael," he breathed, as his deep blue eyes flicked down to my lips then back up to my eyes. I smiled softly and brushed some of his hair off his forehead where it had fallen when he laid down. My eyes drifted back to his and I saw that he was still staring up at me, intently biting his lip. His hand brushed across my cheek to tuck a loose strand of hair behind my ear. When his fingers reached my chin, he gently pulled me down until we were only inches apart. His eyes flickered between my lips and my eyes once more before he softly pressed his lips to mine. I couldn't help it; as he deepened the kiss I realized that I was falling for this boy and there wasn't a single thing I could do about it.

Every teenage girl is free and not insecure and doesn't cut right? Wrong. Hailey has no freedom, especially with her abusive father and her school bullies. She feels as if she shouldn't be alive. But this one person changes her life. And that's when she falls into the arms of Luke Hemmings.
