Meredith Grey is an ambitious, kind-hearted surgical resident, dedicating her life to helping people in need. She decided to immigrate to the middle- east and volunteer as a surgeon for people that can't afford medical care. Addison Montgomery is the daughter of two immigrants who moved from the middle east to the USA. Having experienced what poverty and absent health care is like, she decided to move back to the middle east and volunteer as a fetal doctor and OB/GYN. The two meet in a coffee shop. Immediately feeling a connection they become friends. Sparks quickly fly between them and they realize that they might be more than just friends after all. What happens, though, when the military wants to take over the country? What happens when the two women not only have to protect themselves from the narrow-minded, but from the fire of the battle as well. Will they be able to save not only their beloved people but the innocent civilians too? And will their love be strong enough to last through a war? There's no major TW for the story other than the occasional intimate descriptions.
