In the year 1951, one small particular village in Singapore was infamous for unusual sightings of the supernatural. But when mysterious deaths and unfortunate infanticides kept on plaguing the village, everyone knew that there was something far more dangerous and sinister lurking in the shadows. And it all started with the strange floating head hovering above Mustaqim Lim's feet. Being a high school Muslim hijabi was already a lot to deal with but add a crazy life and it gets all too messy. Trust me Malak is a badass girl that doesn't take shit from nobody but there was only one person who got under her skin. Amir Khalid. Wherever she went they would always butt heads. She despised him and his fancy clothing and overly dramatic spending. Even though he was the only male Muslim in her school she figured she would never ever care for him as he frequently ignored her ever being unless he tortures her. She just knew that she would NEVER be interested.

In 2017, on a mission with a good friend named Thomas Kelly, we began writing this story, which is known as 'Playing God'. In early 2018, we began re-writing the early chapters of the story, and 8 months after that, with only 5 or 6 chapters rewritten, we hit 8500 reads! That is outstanding! This is the original Playing God, but now, it's time for the completed story to come out,the way it should have almost two years ago now.

The twists and turns will keep your spine nicely chilled until the very end. Following the death of her mother 11-year-old Tamicka Moon and her father move from Canada to Eastlake in England, where they both struggle to come to terms with their grief. Jack Moon becomes engrossed in writing about Munford House, the estate where they are staying, while Tamicka is left to explore the house that no-one in Eastlake, save the housekeeper, Mrs Hughes, will go near. Why is everyone so afraid of the old house, and who is the spirit that offers to make everything better for Tamicka - friend or something else? When Tamicka befriends a local girl, Penny, the spirit warns her she can't be trusted, and that seems to be true when Penny's friends play a cruel trick on her; but is the spirit telling her the whole truth? And what is the dark secret of Munford House?
