I step around Lillian when I hear the sounds of quick footsteps approaching. "We're in church," I whisper. "I'm a sinner," Lillian says back, resting her hand on my arm. Her touch tickles the hair on my upper limb, "Jesus. I'm not." Lying in church. I turn away from Lillian and roll my eyes once more. God forgive me.
