Tom was a cleaner at a high class theatre. He always looked up to his crush Tord who was the star of every show held there. After unwanted attention to Tom, Tord comes to the rescue. Tord's parents leave on a buisness trip, and he's left to deal with his anxieties and lack of affection by himself. When a certain blue bird flies into the window of his life, he is set on keeping it in, he bonds with his blue bird in every way possible, trying to gain its love. But when crows begin to nip at peck at the window, leaving cracks or even small breaks, he learns he'll have to resort to other ways to keep crows away. Tord has been taken from his abusive mother. Hes been put into an orphanage and doesn't know that much english, which makes it hard for him. He doesn't talk much to anyone except a boy named Tom, who also lives at the orphanage since his parents were both killed. Tord talks so little, that even when they grow up to be in high school, he still can't talk well and has an accent, even though he has lived in Britain for 12 years. He's also been given the name "Mute" since nobody ever heard him talk. At one point, he is forced to talk, and things only get worse.
