Selene 'Siren' Mitchell was the daughter of Pete Mitchell and Charlotte Blackwood. She came as a surprise to the two, but quickly after the parents decided to try and make it work. The couple moved to Washington for Charlotte's job, but Pete often left because he was deployed. Growing up the family was a happy one. She grows to despise her father for leaving her. After she enlists in the Navy on her 18th birthday, the father and daughter don't speak. She's always known she wanted to be a fighter pilot. When she was young it was because she looked up to her father and wanted to be just like him. Now she was determined to do it to spite him, to be better than him. Now at 23 she has been asked to go to Top Gun. While she's there she forms an intense rivalry with Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw.
