"Everyone loved Macie. She was that cute quiet girl next door who had memorized everyone’s birthdays and favorite colors. She seemed, essentially, perfect." But that was the old Macie. She's different now. Everything is different now.

Kira Hamilton has gone from home to home for 18 years with no idea where she came from. After her 18th birthday, however, things begin to change. Kira finds herself being able to do things that shouldn't be possible: altering weather, changing her appearance, and producing heat being among them. On top of that, what is she supposed to think when her birth mother turns out to be Mother Earth herself? Her mom is slowly dying because of human activities against nature. Now the local town is wanting to cut down a big part of the forest where she resides, only making her weaker. Kira must help fight against them to not only save her long lost mom, but humanity itself as traps, fights, fire, and more come hurdling at her. Will Kira's strength and determination be enough?
