The New Avengers go on a mission to Wakanda to stop Crossbones from getting his hands on a handful of vibranium. As Steve battles Crossbones, memories of Bucky suddenly appear in his mind. The memories continue to appear even after the battle. With the memories in Steve's head, he becomes distracted and ends up taking a huge beating every mission. Steve later seeks help from Wanda.
