He was extraordinary, despite his reassurances that he wasn't. His circumstances were extraordinary, he would say, but I knew better. He let me in far enough to know better. And there was no going back now. The odds were against us from the beginning. They would have had us not meet that day. And not reconnect afterwards. And not continue talking after that. But we didn't work within confines. Because nothing about us was normal. And that was the way we liked it. (Beautiful cover made by: @jessxcaann)

The SEQUEL to Out of the Ordinary She was extraordinary, and she didn't even know it. But I did. I'd known it from that very first day. From the moment she'd smiled at me, and become the axis of my world. And I planned to never let her forget it. She had other plans, though. For herself, and for me. She needed time, she'd said. Time and space. I'd obliged, I'd waited. But that time was up, and I was still waiting. Still ready. Because nothing about a love like ours was normal. And that was the way we liked it. The SEQUEL to Out of the Ordinary and A Love Like Ours We shouldn't have met. That much was obvious right from the beginning. He had his world, and I had mine. Our paths weren't meant to intersect. But they had. And they hadn't just crossed--they'd collided. And there was no going back after that. Because our love... it was never ordinary. It was always more, never less. It was always there, even when we weren't together. But we're together now. For good. Because the way we feel has never been normal. And that's exactly the way we like it. This is a SPINOFF story following Emily from my "Out of the Ordinary" series. Life was nothing but a series of interrupted plans. Some interruptions were worse than others. Like my boyfriend of three years deciding on a whim that he didn't love me anymore. Pretty much the worst interruption ever. One I never could've expected. Still, it reinforced the fact that I should always expect them in some form, and plan as best I could around them. School, work, friends, family - I liked some semblance of order to it all. And then there was Mark. I'd known him all my life, but I hadn't expected him at this point He was another interruption. A distraction. Which was good at first. But the way he made me feel... There was no way this would end well.

Evie was used to life on the road. Touring had become second nature to her, as easy as driving a car or riding a bike. But this time was different. This was Crossing Astor, one of the biggest bands in the country. And if she wanted to eventually become a manager herself, this was a great step in the right direction. But the job wasn't as straightforward as it seemed, and dealing with these three musicians was a lot harder than she ever could have anticipated. The drummer was too quick-tempered, the bassist was too attractive, and the lead singer seemed to be losing himself with each and every performance. Evie wasn't sure he was all there in the first place.
