Steve and Eddie ending up together is unthinkable. Or is it?

Steve's always been the jealous one according to the group, according to literally everyone. Even the kid who supposedly praises him. Everyone tells him that he's jealous of Dustin finding another older friend to have by his side. But no one knows why and that it's not all jealousy. He dropped what he was doing and turned around making cold eye contact with her. "Robin. I'm being serious. Drop it." The girl tensed up and worry gathered on her face for a short second. "Okay, okay. If it's that bad then I won't bother you about it again. I'm sorry okay?" She raised her hands up in a surrender and went back to the vhs's on the counter next to her. Steve took a long breath and rubbed his hands over his face. The bell on the door rand, but Steve ignored it. He was already stressed out enough as it was. "Steve!" He could hear two pairs of footsteps walking up the counter, one being the short curly haired boy he'd taken on as one of his best friends years ago. "Hey Henders-" Steve lost all track of thought in a matter of seconds, his breath was stuck in his throat along with any words he could've possibly thought might help in the situation. His face burned red and his hands started to shake. There was a familiar , now taller, curly haired boy standing behind Dustin. A way to familiar, curly haired boy. Vecna is long gone and everyone is moving on. Steve and Eddie are dragged together by their kids and Eddie's sister who is looking for new inspiration.

After their encounter with the upside down, Robin and Steve have been inflicted with a grotesque form of Hanahaki disease. Eddie and Nancy do their best to help them through their illness. Little do they know they're the cure. Now, Steve and Robin have to go through one hell of an emotional journey to save their lives. (Taking place after all the action of season 4, V2 isn't out yet so we'll just say everyone lived and the world is saved. Also almost no mention of the California party.)

Steve Harrington is part of the highchool baskett ball team and is friends with Jason Carver, a group project rolls around and Steve is paired with Eddie Munson the leader of the Hellfire club. One dark night steve shows up at Eddie's door, with a confession.
