It was the summer of '62 when everything changed. And not for the worse, for the better. It all started when we moved into a valley neighborhood. It was two weeks before school let out, which didn't leave me and my little brother, Scotty any time to make friends. The stupid part was, our mother and stepdad made us go to school with only two weeks left. You could imagine how annoyed we were. But what we didn't know is that 8 very different boys would be the ones to save our summer and many after that. Ski Banks is a thirteen year old girl who plays hockey with her twin older brother Adam Banks. They both play for the best Pee Wee hockey team: The Hawks. Both of the Banks kids are the best players on their team. One day, Ski's team plays a new coming team called District 5 and starts to really notice one of them, Charlie Conway. They both become friends, but Adam doesn't approve of her crush. He tries something's to get them to split up before Charlie starts to like his twin sister. Will Adam face the fact that his sister loves a guy on a different team? Or will Ski do what her older twin brother says and stop hanging out and having a crush on Charlie? So the tension begins...
